The following are the testimonies of 'liberations' direct or supervised by Prof. Zamboni, testimonies that are on the Facebook italian page "CCSVI nella sclerosi multipla".

Bologna Pistols - September 3, 2009

"I am a patient of Dr. Salvi for almost 10 years and this year I had the great fortune of being subjected to the "liberation". The word could not be more appropriate: the feeling of great energy, good mood, mental alertness you feel is clear.
Personally I did not have any form of disability prior to surgery, so I did not expect major differences compared to my previous condition... instead I was very pleasantly surprised.
I finally understood what the "fatigue" from MS, underhand and insidious symptoms that I didn't think of myself, and instead it took me away a lot, not just physically, but in mental, psychological and social terms.
Specifically, I found: greater freedom of movement, more strength, the disappearance of almost perpetual circle the head, loss of tension in neck and shoulder, high good humor, enthusiasm and, above all, no fatigue.
These gentlemen have really found the source of desease and how to combat it.
I can only thank all the medical staff of Ferrara and Bologna. Thanks Prof, Mr Bre, Dr. Galeotti, Anna Maria, Erica, Ilaria, Sergio, Alessandro and all the friends... from heart."

framorgana - September 12, 2009

"Hello, I underwent the intervention at the end of March 2008, since then I have had no relapse (RR sclerosis diagnosed in 2004, treated with Rebif 44, before I had relapses every 4 / 6 months).
The review to which you submit is an ultrasound (I had blocked both internal jugular and azygos).
The intervention of liberation is an angioplasty dilated.
In detail: you come with a small catheter from the groin (local anesthesia) and a balloon will release the blocked veins.
The operation is run in day hospital, takes about an hour or keep you in hospital and then another three hours to make sure everything is ok.
After a week of heparin (the same type of injections of interferon), no post-operative trauma, a plaster for three days on groin.
My life has improved immediately.
I made the operation during an acute (not felt anything from the neck down, I could not see in one eye and was very weakly), two hours after the operation I had finish everything (and nothing cortisone for me).
I write because it's all true, I am the proof! I really hope that in short time to ensure that this intervention is done in many centers in Italy (Dr. Salvi and Dr. Zamboni simply can not deal with 57.000 patients all alone!).
I recommend you go to your neurologist and ask him to inquire directly and to make concrete what these two wonderful doctors were able to discover!
I hope to have been of help!"

Gabriele - September 16, 2009

"Hello, I have decided to respond calmly because before writing of the dates of what is my story, I wanted to get objective feedback. I started to search for documents in the entire house because I did not remember where I had put its ... .. and this thing has made me reflect on the fact of how I feel ... well now.
Pproblems with MS I started them in '89 / '90.
The diagnosis very troubled came after a hospital in '95. The relapses were average of three a year. In February '98 I started therapy with interferon B1a dell'Avonex, suspended in June because a nephrosis that I had caused by the same. Brings me to immunosuppressant, azathioprine. I met Zamboni in '06, he asked me if I was willing to undergo in this research.
My liberation came exactly January 10, 2007; I had a stenosis of the crossroads jugular subclavius left vein, and a problem with the azygos vein. The benefits I have heard them immediately... is not because the azathioprine, as some might say... because Zamboni, with a subsequent inspection by the echo control, indicates the presence of multiple cysts in the thyroid lobes... Endocrinology checks... Was a papillary cancer... Suspension azathioprine and total thyroidectomy in June '07. In April 2008 I went to neurology because was a few days I had problems at the left of the neck. In neuro told me that I must do the bolus, the usual 5 days x 1g of cortisone.
As I left the hospital, and I do not know which way to thank again, I met Zamboni who, heard the situation, tells me "wait before starting the bolus, come and see me after tomorrow."
That done, He repeat l'echo... restenosis, operating room and immediately released again. My story very, very long, less I could not write.
I don't take any medication for SM since April 2007. What to say more that."

Marco - September 16, 2009

"Hello, I am officially sick of MS since '99 (the final diagnosis, but I had other relapses earlier, variously interpreted...). I am a liberated, and I confirm that I got them improved and that many (both doctors and organizations that have the end of MS as aim) think/say that the 'liberation' is a technique too pioneering and/or experimental and unreliable (to be crazy make it, but I had already done ...^_^ .) If it is true that many things you appreciate when you've lost and while there are take for granted, a small improvement (for healthy) is really insignificant, but for me it was tremendous and made the difference. Thanks to Mr. Bré, Prof and the wonderful team! "

G.C. - October 14, 2009

"I am back home following venogram and bilateral balloon dilatation of the jugular veins at 2 pm.
I feel well, my back is less stiff, my movements are quicker and my right leg feels already more powerful.
I am not on any blood thinners.
The procedure was carried out at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Belfast by the radiologist Dr Anton Collins while I was under the care of the vascular surgeon Mr Robin Baker.
All the team were extremely excited and believe in Zamboni's theory.
I sincerely hope that today represented a breakthrough and that many patients will benefit in Northern Ireland. The ice has been broken: I look forward to a bright future for MS sufferers.
Thank you all for the good wishes,
GiCi"

Man Go – October 20, 2009

"Hello! I had the intervention at Sant'Anna Hospital of Ferrara in November 2008 with the team of Prof. Paolo Zamboni.
I had 2 veins closed: the jugular and azygos.
After the intervention of 'liberation' I felt immediately better. Stronger and responsive and less tired ....
From 3/11/2008, the day of 'liberation' at the Center for Vascular Disease directed by Prof. Paolo Zamboni (St. Anna Hospital in Ferrara), thank God! I had not more relapses! I take Rebif 22 micrograms regularly as prescribed by the legendary neurologist Dr Fabrizio Salvi.
Are always at your disposal for any clarification.
Hugs.
Man Go"
